The Location
The Bay of Plenty is a large bay on the northern coast of New Zealand’s North Island, spanning from the Coromandel Peninsula in the west to Cape Runaway in the east, covering approximately 259 km of open coastline.
The Bay of Plenty Region surrounds this bay and includes several large islands. The area is experiencing significant growth, with a population of around 260,000. Major urban centers include Opotiki, Tauranga, Rotorua, Whakatane, Te Puke, and Katikati.
