Te Tumu Landowners Group

Formed in December 2004, the Te Tumu Landowners Group (TTLG) consists of the primary landowners in the Papamoa East – Te Tumu area.

TTLG represents the three major landowners and one smaller landowner within the Urban Growth Management Area known as Papamoa East (Te Tumu).

The group is composed of:

  • Ford Land Holdings Pty Ltd (243 ha)
  • Carrus/Hickson JV (171 ha)
  • Te Tumu Kaituna 14 Trust (241 ha)
  • Te Tumu Kaituna 11B2 Trust (6 ha)

The Carrus/Hickson JV landholding of approximately 171 hectares, is owned by Tauranga City Council. This land was acquired by the Council in 2007 to safeguard future urban development opportunities identified for the area. Carrus Corporation holds the development rights for this land. Together, the TTLG landholdings and the Council-owned land comprise approximately 87% of the 760-hectare area of Papamoa East (Te Tumu).
